Ghost Writer Expanding to Pittsburgh!

In an effort to reach more nonprofits in communities with a strong charitable presence, Ghost Writer LLC is opening an office in the Pittsburgh area by the end of the year.

Project Manager and Client Coordinator Colleen Tidd will expand her role as an agency advocate to serve the region near Steel City. Clients are being accepted now.

“Pittsburgh is an ideal location for its plethora of foundations and because it is well-poised for strong state and federal funding,” said Kirsten Hubbard, founder and CEO of Ghost Writer. “It is an expansive market, a high-priority area with a good deal of innovative solutions and a strong philanthropic culture.”

The company, which began in 2017 to help nonprofits meet their world-changing missions, provides marketing, development and professional writing services. Hubbard’s entrepreneurial enterprise has expanded its reach beyond the Franklin County, Pa., area to organizations across the globe.

Ghost Writer also grew to serve for-profit organizations and now includes an executive-services division that offers strategic planning, board development and workshops.

From locations in central Pennsylvania and Louisville, Ky., and remotely all around the world, its six employees and five contractors serve about 20 clients, some on retainer and others for specific projects.

“We enjoy having a presence where possible and have strategically chosen areas poised to benefit from our services,” Hubbard said.

Ghost Writer was unique in its ability to expand during the coronavirus pandemic, as the needs of nonprofits and businesses grew and funding pools became available.
